Amber made me this beautiful quilt for Sophia, and we decorated the room around it. This picture does not even do it justice it is so amazing. Thank you Amber I am so lucky to have you as a friend. Love YaCute, Cute, Cute She also made a matching pillow.

Going Home!

Finally going home It was a long week , but we made it. We would like to thank all of our family and friends for all of your love and support. We could not have made it with out you. Sophia is doing so great and is very healthy. She still looks like she got hit by a a truck, but even with two black eyes she is so beautiful.We had to put Sophia under lights when we got home. She looks so cute like she is tanning.
This is a really cute sign the NICU made for Sophia's room. They were so nice to us there. We feel so grateful to live here and have such great medical care available to us.
The girls were so excited when we came home this is the first time they were able to hold her. It was a long week wait for these girls to finally meet there sister.

Sophia Naomi Armstrong

Baby Sophia was born Monday, August 18, 2008 at 11:11 a.m. ... a wonderful birthday present for her Mommy! Sophia weighed 6 lb. 14 oz. and measured 19 inches tall. Sophia is spending some time in the NICU due to some breathing and lung difficulties. Doctors aren't sure if this is a result of being born 3.5 weeks early, or if Sophia has some kind of infection. Hopefully she will be better soon and can go home from the hospital with her Mommy. Emily is doing well, and is obviously very anxious to "love on" baby Sophia. Emily is able to hold her 2 times a day, but it is a very difficult process since Sophia is hooked up to so many monitors. Please keep baby Sophia in your prayers, and we'll keep you posted on any progress!

Kit kitridge the Movie is finally here.

Part of Madeline's Birthday present was a ticket to see the movie Kit Kitridge The American Girl. She was so excited and kept asking is today July 2nd for a week. Finally the day came and we went to the first showing. Conner, Brynn , Olivia and Elle came too.

We had a really fun fourth of July. We went with all our cousins to the movie Walley, and then went to Pizza Factory. Then we went swimming at our house and did fire works out front. It turned out to be a fun day.All the kids waiting for Mark to do the big show.

Bear World here we come

One of the highlights of our trip was Bear World. The kids and adults had so much fun. You can just drive through the park and see lots of wild life and lots of bears. Mark and I also took a ride on top of a bus that let us feed the bears that was so cool to be so close to them. They had a petting zoo and little rides for the kids it was really a lot of funThey had little baby deer that were only a week old in the petting zoo.

On the second day in Yellowstone we visited all the cool water falls. They were so spectacular just breathtaking

Big Springs in Island Park

We went to Big Springs just down the street from were we camped that had these huge fish you could feed. One problem the mesquito's are like nothing you have ever seen before thousands and thousands sworming around. So we sprayed and ran down to see then ran back for safety. ( of course we got a few pictures in the hurry)Mark said I looked like the Una Bomber

What good sports they were trying so hard to smile, but just wanted to run for cover.

Old faithful here we come

We made it to old faithful just in time we didn't have to wait at all. Now that was lucky. We are so glad Marks parents could meet us up there at Yellowstone it was fun to be with them.Olivia and Papa

A day at the St. Anthony Sand Dunes

We spent a day at the sand dunes it was so awsome. I have never seen dunes that tall before, and so smooth I think you could go forever. Grandma was real sport she got in back with the girls and off we went.

The wild flowers were in bloom and so amazing it looked almost like snow .I think Madeline and Conner's favorite thing was playing games.
Olivia and Brynn at an old ghost town we visited.
The kids coloring while we packed everything to head home. What a fun trip this was we were sad to leave, and have to head home to 108 degree weather.

A night out at Tuacahn with the Sound of Music

We went to the Sound of Music with Amber and Brynn, and the girls loved it! They sang all the songs all the way through. We had a great time except for the 107 degree weather, but some how a made it through.

Madeline and Brynn got a picture with Maria. Maddy was so excited. Olivia didn't make it that far before she fell asleep.

What a sweet heart she held out as long as she could.

Madeline's gift from us was the new American girl doll Kit from the 1930's. She was so shocked and excited to get her. She is a really cute doll she has little freckles on her nose just like Madeline.I had to put this picture in because Mark always teases me about the dolls that I am really getting them for me. ( ok maybe I am) Any way this was my mom and sister oohing and awing over the doll clothes and little shoes, and Jesse stuck in the middle.

The Birthday Cake

Madeline came with me to the bakery and designed the cake herself. What a great job she did. It was really cute.
We had a pool party with all her cousins and Brynn and Conner. I told Maddy we were only going to have a family party this year and she said " thats fine but we have to have Brynn and Conner because mom they are like are family" What a cutie.

Today is Madeline's 7th Birthday . I can 't believe it has been seven years since she was born. It seems like yesturday. When I look at her I still can't believe she is my daughter that I have a seven year old. We have been so blessed to have her in our lives. She brings a so much joy and love and laughter. She has a great imagination and I love to hide and listen to her pretend play. She was so excited this morning for her birthday, and as you can see Olivia was too.These are the earrings and indian baby Nana and Papa gave her. When Maddy opened the gift she said " no one has ever given me such a special gift before. Thanks Nana and Papa we love you!

Triple Threat

This week Madeline had a musical theater class called triple threat. She did such a great job and sang Zippity Do Da to everyone. Man not to brag but she has such a great little voice. I even started to cry.

First day of summer school

Today was the girls first day of summer school. Olivia was so excited to be going to school with Madeline. Even though she is not in her same class she was so brave and marched in and took her seat. Not even a tear. Madeline on the other hand stressed the entire way to school and she has been going there all year. A mystery to me ..... Can you see the look of distress on Madeline's face or what.

This was a fun night we went to the St. George Road Runners game, and our cousins from Salt Lake are visiting so they came too what a blast we had.Madeline caught a bag a sunflower seeds. You would of thought it was best thing ever. She was so excited, and didn't even know what it was.

Today was Madeline and Olivia's last day of school. I can't believe it's summer already.

This is Madeline's first grade teacher Miss Michelle. What a great teacher she is. Madeline had tears in her eyes when we left. It was really sweet. I remember feeling that way too.

Madeline's Dance Recital

Saturday was Madeline's dance recital she was so beautiful. She also has a musical theater class she takes so she dressed like Mary Poppins and sang some songs. It was a greatt night and worth all the work. Thanks to all our friends and family for coming and supporting her.

We have had a very busy week last week starting first with Olivia's dance recital on Thursday night, and then Madeline's on Saturday. It was worth all the work. The girls got so excited to dress up and put makeup on .

After the recital we came home and Grammy gave Olivia a new pair of GREEN earing's and some silky kitty p.j's she was so cute and excited about it.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

This weekend we went camping at the Coral Pink Sand dunes with my brother and Amber 's family. It was a really fun weekend. We had so much fun I forgot to take pictures these are the only ones. OOPS

A day at JUMPIN JAX'S

Last week we went to a place called Jumpin Jax's it was really fun for the kids. It is a indoor warehouse that has big blow up jumpers and slides. And for the parents they have disco music and fancy disco lights.

After that we went and had frozen yogurt. What cute girls!

Day at the park with scary ice cream

We went to the park, and the ice cream truck circled about five times then he just parked right in front of us. So we went over to buy a treat. Madeline and Olivia saw a Bratz doll ice cream and had to have it until they opened it. I had to talk Olivia into eating it. Look how scary that thing is. It needs a warning on the label (may not look like actual advertising could look like a ALIEN!) So needless to say they took a couple bites off the top of the head and ate the eyeballs off and threw it away. Thats the best five bucks I've spent in a long time. What a waste.

We went to a cake auction fund raiser and look what we won. Olivia was so excited because it was GREEN. It was Madeline's idea to get a picture ( what a little poser). It is a cute idea. I asked the girl how she made it and she said it was just two bunt cakes cut in half. That sounds simple enough. Too bad I will never have a reason to make a snake birthday cake but for all the moms with boys good luck.

She was so excited, and can you believe it was her idea. We went to the mall, and walked by Clairs, and she said " Mom I want my ears pierced."
